La ventaja de los violentos – Advantages of the violent ones

Podrian haberlo parado?

Hitler would not had been able to had to conquer Europe with the “help” of both the lack of capacity and “pacifism” of leaders as Chamberlain in England. According to many historians, Chamberlain wanted
to be “the man who saved Europe from War”. His “friendly” reactions before Hitler,s impetuous growth favored the Austrian and help him to materialize his dreams of domination. Some even think that Hitler’s power could have even vanish early if his first annexations would have found more resistance. Let’s translate that logic of events to our present and our life. Is it possible to confront the violent ones without violence? Is it possible to be “ultra” pacifist, just as Gandhi was? or, on the contrary, we need to have the ability and capacity to use violence to stop violence? Can we justify even death or murder to avoid  larger damages? I think that we always have to try the peaceful and diplomatic means, and that nothing justifies violence, even against the violent ones. But rereading Hitler’s history of lack or resistance and “friendship” from so many countries in Europe makes me have some doubt…
